  1. WHY YOU/ME
I have been looking for extra ways to make supplemental money for the family for several years. I started a landscape business 5 years ago and had little success with getting any significant amount of work. Landscaping is very labor intensive with a lot of competition driving income down. I spent a lot of money trying to find work sometimes going several months without new work coming in while still having to pay for the equipment.
I have had very little time to spend with my family working a full time job and trying to get a second income in place. Laura quit working to care for Brandon after a year in daycare kept him in the Dr’s office a couple times a month. That further put a drain on our financial status putting a larger burden on me to find a better job. I took a job that had great opportunity in construction management but after a year of employment and him owing me $15,000 in back wages I decided to leave there. I spent the next 3 months working in medical transport for a third of what I was making.
I have had little control over when I got home from work. I have been working late trying to meet deadlines or going in on my days off trying to make a living. Currently my schedule is to work away from home for 6 weeks before coming home for 7 days. The chance of being home for any family events are next to none at this time let alone any sporting events for Brandon or school functions for me to attend.
    WHY NOW ?
The economy right now is rough. I took a job two states away and that was after 3 months of looking. I went and got my Masters Electrical License and started my own business with a partner but failed to get the first job this year so I had no real choice of what I could do. I needed to provide for my family so I took a job knowing I would see them less than 1 week a month.
The Social Marketing Industry seems to be a growing trend. You get the same results as a brick and mortar store but no or very little overhead. Companies are looking at better ways to get there products to the end user (customers) and using a network distribution system that has no overhead saves money and keeps the cost down.
I need to start now to find financial freedom if I have any chance. I have cashed in all my savings, 401K trying to stay afloat. I am past the age where working towards a retirement the traditional way will work. I need to find a future for me and my family.
    WHY VITAMIST ?
When I heard of Vitamist and what it has done for family members I had to be a part. I was overweight and feeling terrible, no energy just run down and stressed out about how I was going to make things work. The opportunity to start at this stage of the growth spurt was remarkable. The company being based in USA was important to me.
The company having been around for 25 years with the purest form of supplements available today is remarkable. 25 years of R & D behind us giving us 50+ PDR listed products to share seemed to be a win win adventure for me. The testimonials I heard the first time exposed were phenomenal and with me feeling the way I did and Brandon being in the Dr’s office as much as he was made it a simple decision to start the process.
I like the fact that I can share something with someone, change their life and my financial situation at the same time. Someone is going to make money helping people it might as well be me. I like the idea of not having to stock any product in order to share the product. It seemed to be a good fit for my family to get started when we did even though we could not afford it at the time, we also could not afford not to. The pay plan flexibility, paying on turbo start, monthly residual, retail, 3 levels including a free website and tech support, customer service shipping… It seemed to good to be true for the price that we had to commit to get all that in return.

  2. Just a few days ago, the Journal of Nutrition published an article entitled: "Vitamin D Intake Needed to Maintain Target Serum 25-Hydroxyvitamin D Concentrations in Participants with Low Sun Exposure and Dark Skin Pigmentation Is Substantially Higher Than Current Recommendations". Yet another example of something you have been hearing from VitaMist for well over a year now, ever since we introduced our Vitamin D Spray!
This new study suggested that intakes for people with darker skins should be increased dramatically from the current "adequate intake value" which is set at 200 IU.
This is just the latest in a series of studies calling for increases in the recommended levels for vitamin D, and we have discussed these many times on the Product Focus segments of our Saturday Open Forum Call and also on our Medical Advisory Board Call, which is held once each month.
This latest interest in vitamin D has been fueled by increasing concerns over the health implications of living with insufficient and deficient vitamin D levels. A recent study from China reported that 94 per cent of people aged between 50 and 70 enrolled in the study were vitamin D deficient or insufficient, which may increase their risk of metabolic syndrome. It is now believed that, in adults, vitamin D deficiency may cause or exacerbate osteopenia, osteoporosis, muscle weakness, fractures, common cancers, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases and cardiovascular diseases. There is also some evidence that the vitamin may reduce the incidence of several types of cancer and type-1 diabetes.
